ECOsystems in the NewsCongratulations to ECOsystems and Harding Electrical, joint finalists in the 2007 ECANZ Excellence awards.
The Ideal Energy Efficiency Award is for a project demonstrating excellence in energy efficiency, waste management, and/or consideration of the environment. ECOsystems was nominated for our work on the Department of Conservation Head Office. ECOsystems were contracted by Harding Electrical to install a DALI C-Bus lighting solution for the new Department of Conservation building in Wellington. For further information on the project, please see our Projects page. Our "recognition wall" is pretty full now as this award joins our previous ECANZ award and our four national Energy Wise Awards from previous years. This recognition can give you confidence that our projects are producing great results. New Zealand Green Building CouncilIn 2006, ECOsystems became members of the New Zealand Green Building Council. This organisation has been established to promote sustainable buildings throughout New Zealand. It is developing a green rating system for commercial buildings, with 6 stars being the most sustainable. The ranking will be based on factors such as energy, water and land use, indoor environment quality, construction materials, transport links and greenhouse gas emissions. This system will measure such things as: passive solar design, energy efficient heating and cooling systems, recycled water, and construction from non-toxic, sustainable or recycled materials. If approved Clipsal will then provide your site with a CIS Guarantee Certificate. Where a CIS Guarantee Certificate has been issued, if any failure or malfunction occurs within 24 months, CIS will replace, modify or repair (at its sole option) the defective parts. Current Issues
